Scheherezade Junejo

(Honours) Degree. 

Scheherezade has produced 7 solo exhibits, and participated in over 70 group exhibits, both national and international; since June 2010. The most notable shows in which she has taken part are: “ArtDom Part 2” at Sergelgatans Konsthall, Stockholm in November 2021, at Oscar Studio & Galleri, Oslo in October 2021, at Grand Hotel, Oslo in September 2021, at Sanat Gallery, Karachi in January 2021; “Noah’s Ark” at KB19, Karachi in October 2019; Focus On: Pakistan at Le Dame Art Gallery, London Art Rooms, London in January 2018; “Chiaroscuro” at AnYahh Art Gallery, Dubai in November 2017; Venice Biennale at the Imago Mundi Project booth, Venice in 2017; Moniker Art Fair at the Old Truman Brewery, London in October 2016; “Mirrors of the Artosphere” at Amsterdam Whitney Gallery, New York in August 2016; “Art Expressions” at Capital Club, DIFC, Dubai in June 2016; Art Basel, Miami in December 2015; Pakistan Art Today at the Lalit Hotel, New Delhi in October 2014; and Affordable Art Fair at the Royal Exhibition Museum, Melbourne in May 2012. She was featured in the 1st edition of Current Masters, a publication of contemporary artists by World Wide Art Books in 2015, awarded “10 Best Works” at the Alhamra Arts Council, Lahore in April 2011, and nominated for the Sovereign Asian Art Prize 2021 and 2023. She has contributed work to several fundraisers, charities and auctions for causes such as Art For Education, Covid-19 Relief and Special Olympics Pakistan. Scheherezade designed customized sculptural pieces for the Fall Cabaret Collection by Monsieur Fox in July 2013. She has taught PYP, MYP and O-Level Art at Lecole for Advanced Studies (2010-2012). She is an Adjunct faculty member at Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture, teaching Drawing and Painting (since 2013), and also curates various exhibitions, most notably Affordable Luxury, R.S.V.P., and 1 x 1.
