Fazil Mousavi

Studied art at Balochistan University Quetta Pakistan. 1984-88

  1. Worked as freelance Artist with BMIADP project affiliated with Government of Balochistan. Also designed the insignia of this project.
  2. Illustrated brochures training material for BIAD (HALCROW).
  3. Designed several insignias for various private organizations.
  4. Designed the titles of various magazines.
  5. e) Designed the insignia for all Pakistan Army Public Schools and Colleges System (APSACS)       

Exhibitions

1981,   Participated in National Exhibition, Islamabad.

1984,   Second Prize in National Exhibition, Sibi Mela.

1985,   First Prize in provincial Exhibition Titled (Youth Year).

1986,   Participated in the Water color exhibition held by V.M.Art Gallery Karachi.

1988,   Participated in National Art Exhibition, Islamabad.

1990,   Participated in Group Show (Artists from Balochistan) Lahore & Islamabad.

1992,   Solo Exhibition at (THE GALLERY) Dutch Family Zwanenburg Residence, Quetta.

1993,   Project of all ex-Chief Ministers portraits for the C.M’s Conference Hall Quetta.

1994,   Two huge Relieves in Fiber Glass for the National Bank of Pakistan (Provincial Headquarter) Quetta. Size 5 X 20 feet each.

1995,   Monumental Sculpture for the Command and Staff College Quetta Pakistan.

1995,   Solo Exhibition at Iqra A.P.S.and College Quetta.

1996,   Sculptural Forms for the School of Infantry and Tactics, Quetta Pakistan.

2000,   Participated in (TAKHTI  Exhibition) of Zahoor-ul-Akhlaq Trust Lahore.

2001,   Cultural Relief for Command and Staff College Library Quetta, (Terracotta Tiles).

2002,   Solo Exhibition at Iqra A.P.S & C, Command and Staff College Quetta.

2006,   Curated a group show of four young artists at Tanzeem e Nasl e Nau Hazara Mughul, Quetta Pakistan.

2007,   My Solo show at Museum Willem Van Harren, Holland.

2008,   Started an informal art set-up “Sketch Club Quetta”

2009,   Curated the first group show of Sketch Club students at Urooj Art Gallery, Quetta, Pakistan. 

2010,   Curated yearly group show of Sketch Club students, 2010 to 2016 at General Musa Degree College Quetta Pakistan.

2019,   Conducted a four-day art workshop named “Break To Make” to raise                                       awareness among the young members of the society about arts.

2019,   Performed as “Shahnamah Singer” In “March Meeting” Sharjah Biennale 14 in Sharjah UAE.  

2020,   Curated a group show of Sketch Club Teacher and students at the Human Rights Festival 2020, Oxford Brookes University UK.

2021    Solo show and performance of “Shahnamah” singing at Gurmani Center for Languages & Literature LUMS, Lahore Pakistan.

2022    Solo show at Pakistan National Council of the Arts, PNCA Islamabad

            Pakistan.

2023    Participated in the 11th annual Ras Al Khaimah Fine Arts Festival

            RAKFAF, UAE.

2023    Participated in the “Quetta Art Fair” organized by THE RED TAG ART  

            FORUM at the University of Balochistan Quetta Pakistan.

            Presently teaching art in my own setup Sketch Club Quetta.
