Graduating with distinction from the National College of Arts in Lahore in 2021, Hooria has specialised in Miniature Painting, complemented by minors in taxidermy, calligraphy, and photography. Throughout her academic journey, Hooria garnered consecutive merit awards at NCA. Hooria’s artistic endeavours extend beyond academia, as she has actively participated in numerous exhibitions and collaborative projects, including the Maktab project under the guidance of internationally acclaimed artist Imran Qureshi, and Pakistan’s pavilion at Dubai Expo 2020 with renowned artist Akif Suri. Hooria has showcased her artwork in multiple group exhibitions, including Broadcast II and Dar Amad at O art Space Lahore, The New Odyssey at PNCA Islamabad, Eternal Ephemeral at Full Circle Gallery Karachi, Before the End of Time at Canvas Gallery, A Voyage at Satrang Gallery, Islamabad, FireFly Dreams at Muse Art Gallery Lahore, Liminal Spaces at Dastaangoi Gallery Islamabad, free will at Numaish Gah, and A line that divides at Canvas Gallery. Central to Hooria’s artistic vision is a profound exploration of ritualistic stereotypes entrenched within society. Her body of work intricately weaves together organic and inorganic elements, casting light on the subtleties and contradictions often overlooked in our everyday lives.
